3 new kitchens were added in Omdurman, 3 in Khartoum, 2 in East Nile, and one kitchen in Bahri.

Bringing the number of kitchens to 52, serving more than nine thousand families daily (nearly 60 thousand beneficiaries), thank God.

With a generous directed support, Hadhreen's team has implemented Eid joy project at the orphan Child Care Home (Maygoma) - Kassala...
sleeping clothes for all the children of the home (222 children), in addition to slippers for the older children, in addition to distributing sweets and Eid baking to the children and the staff working in the home, provided by Moves Women’s Charitable Organization.

Slippers were distributed to all 530 children in the Montazah shelter center in Wadi Halfa, in addition to distributing sweets and Eid baking to all families in the camp, provided by the Sudanese Supplementary Schools Initiative in the United Kingdom (Cardiff and Aberdeen) and an appreciated contribution from Hadhreen supporters.

With the generous support of the FAL Organization and the Islamic Centre in Vienna - Austria, in addition to a portion of Zakat al-Fitr received from Hadhreen supporters, corn was distributed to each of:

Al Obied for 602 families
Kosti 378 families
Al-Qurashi 24 308 families
Refugee camps in the Adré region - Chad, 800 families
At a total cost exceeding 25 million Sudanese pounds

The rest of the Zakat al-Fitr amounts were directed to purchase food supplies for all 52 central kitchens and shelter homes to cover meals for the first week of Eid for most kitchens in Khartoum/Al-Jazira/Gedaref and Sennar and the first three days of Eid for shelter centers in both Wadi Halfa and Al-Obeid. Materials for one week will be provided later to both cities.

“Hadhreen” will continue to support the Central kitchens in the neighborhoods of Khartoum State after Ramadan, God willing, and if sufficient support is available, we will provide support to all the kitchens that we worked with in the different states during the holy month.

The second week, Panorama

"What has been started will be completed"

Of course, this is a saying that we have been accustomed to for a long time, especially in Ramadan every year.
When we come to discuss the preparations for the daily "iftar" and the initial estimates are raised for us.. and we are surprised by the great sums.
But the thing we always agree on is that we start and it will be, by God willing..

Also, we always insisted that at least a certain amount of the cost had to be secure to enable us to start (the people will come for the cause later) the project, then we can start to borrow some of the needs, or using a deferred payments using the trust given to us by suppliers, to keep the daily work going.

This year, we were discussing with our brothers and sisters in Sadagaat society how is the pain and gap are great this year.

Then ee received good news from the Sudanese American physicians Association (SAPA) with a generous initial donation of $50,000, equivalent to more than 60 million Sudanese pounds, to support central kitchens for Ramadan "iftars".

Although this amount was huge, it only covered the needs of the Omdurman kitchens raised by the field teams working with them. According to estimates, the numbers could increase, and in fact, they did.

But the important thing was that this was the start and What has been started will be completed.., and in fact, we were joined by Sadagaat,

Yes, only within the state.. but there are some donors that request that their donation be directed to a specific geographical area outside Khartoum State

There is no need to send a notification... as the Accounts Department in Hadhreen is reviewing all accounts daily and restricting the amounts of donations... As we stated in our previous condemnation of the telecommunications shutdown in Sudan by the Rapid Support Militia, we confirm today, based on careful investigation and information from reliable sources, that the Sudanese Armed Forces leadership directly ordered the shutdown of communication services in large areas of Darfur and Kordofan since the beginning of the war. This was not due to technical problems, as was rumored. We strongly condemn this action by the Sudanese army leadership, as the first victim is a Sudanese citizen who relies on telecommunications services for daily life. Depriving them of these services is the same crime committed by the Rapid Support Militia in recent weeks, as it will directly contribute to the worsening of the humanitarian catastrophe.

We call on the international community to pressure the Sudanese army forces and militia leadership to restore services throughout the country.

Once again, we stress the importance of respecting the basic human rights of citizens and call on the international community to pressure the Sudanese army forces and Rapid Support Militia leadership to immediately restore communication services.

We also affirm our solidarity with the Sudanese people throughout Sudan without discrimination, as this war affects everyone. In the east and west, north and south of Sudan.

Joint statement

We strongly condemn the telecommunication services Shutdown in Sudan by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia since the beginning of February 2024, which has culminated in a complete blackout of telecommunication services in most, if not all, parts of Sudan. This adds to the many violations that have been committed since April 15th of the last year.

This act constitutes a full-fledged crime against humanity and the rights guaranteed by international laws. It directly threatens the lives of civilians who rely almost entirely on banking applications and other solutions provided by telecommunication companies in their daily transactions. It also hinders the delivery of humanitarian aid, which threatens the lives of millions of civilians caught amidst the ongoing war in various parts of the country. In addition, it directly affects freedom of speech and access to information about what is happening on the ground in areas of armed conflict and the rest of Sudan.

We call on the international community to condemn this act and take concrete steps to stop this crime by pressuring the RSF leadership to restore the communication network and facilitate the safe passage of workers in all sectors to ensure that services are restored immediately throughout the country.

Finally, we emphasize the need to respect human rights, ensure the safety of civilians and their right to life, and access to information. We also call on all parties to stop the violence and resort to dialogue.

After more than five months of the "You Are not Alone" campaign's commitment towards running the daily needs at the care home for our elderly parents, we regret to announce that we are forced to stop, due to the lack of funds.

The total amount spent by the campaign over the past period amounted to approximately seventy-five million Sudanese pounds..

We are thankful to everyone who supported us, even with just one pound..

The campaign will provide the continues medications for the month of November, in addition to ten days food supplies.

After a purely Sudanese national efforts, and despite the heavy rains and wounds that spread across our dear country..

we are pleased to inform you about the completion of the process of evacuating our honorable parents, their belongings, and part of the furniture, in addition to the administrative staff, from the care home for elderly men in Khartoum North (Bahry), by "you are not alone" campaign team... and they are now in Shendi city on the way to their alternative place, thank God first and foremost..
In a journey that took many hours due to the intransigence of the checkpoints of the Rapid Support militia.. and all the points insisted on searching the convoy.
About 300,000 Sudanese pounds were looted, in addition to the beating of the campaign representative accompanying the convoy at one of the checkpoints..

Our deepest thanks to the volunteers of the campaign in Shendi and our people in the city whose great efforts contributed to providing means of transportation despite the great dangers.. Which we elaborate on with more detail later, by God willing..

The campaign team condemns these assaults, which are a small part of a record full of barbaric violations, and it is not surprising for members of a militia that shed the blood of innocent citizens and assaulted honor, money and homes in all areas under its control.

We sincerely wish the elders a safe arrival and a good stay, and wish for our dear homeland, the end of this cancerous nightmare.

Important announcement..

With this, "You are not alone" campaign team announces that it has stopped receiving donations for the Maiqoma children’s support item through Hadrin Organization’s bank accounts inside and outside Sudan...
in proportion to the completion of the evacuation of all the three Maiqoma/Future care home for gorld and Protection care home for boys from Khartoum.

All incoming donations will be directed towards the daily disbursement items to care homes for the elderly mrn/elderly women/Bashaer and Taiba as long as communication continues with the administrations of the four care homes.

Although Hadhreen Organization covered the deficit in the daily operating budget with financial resources allocated to other projects and obligations payable to a number of parties... which placed Hadhreen in debts exceeding 20 thousand US dollars... the organization's management notified the campaign team that it would work internally with its donors that these debts are paid.

The total amount spent by the "You Rea Not Alone" campaign on the Maiqoma care home alone exceeded sixty million Sudanese pounds..

The equivalent of more than 100,000 US dollars..
With the grace of God, first and foremost, and then the confidence of Hadhreens donors from entities and individuals inside and outside Sudan..

This amount does not include the recent shipment of milk and Pampers, which was paid for by UNICEF, and which its value exceeded the equivalent of 80,000 US dollars.

"You are not Alone" campaign team..

In continuation from our previous two statements regarding incidence of sexual violence during the current military conflict in Sudan,

Hadhreen continues to monitor and confirm reports of incidents of sexual violence which are worryingly increasing in number.

We can confirm a recurrent pattern of targeting women from Ethiopia and Eritrea in Khartoum and Omdurman which has resulted in numbers of them from both nationalities fleeing the state.

We were made aware of two incidents, one involving a single victim and one involving multiple victims, that happened in areas under the control of the Rapid Support militia . In both incidents, the survivors reported that they were assaulted by individuals wearing the the same uniforms of the RS militia.
This is in addition to an increasing number of other incidents that were are in the process of confirming in Bahri.

All the indications are suggesting that the true number of incidents are much higher but the situation in many areas in Khartoum makes it very difficult for the victims to come forward to report the incidents or gain access to the medical treatments and the support they need.

We continue to call for the immediate cessation of these increasing war crimes and the need for the international community to exert significant pressure on the militia to stop these war crimes and bring those responsible to face justice. Repeated cease fires have failed to secure safe humanitarian corridors and also failed to ensure safe travel of civilians to allow victims of sexual crimes to seek help or to reach a place of safety.
We direct you to the statement released by "Combating Violence Against Women unit" which issued an update on the number of sexual violence incidents related to the current military conflict in Sudan which include cases in Khartoum (Hadhreen assisted in confirming a number of these cases and in aiding survivors to access the medical care they require) in addition to cases in Darfur.

Appending to our previous statement, where we mentioned that five alleged cases of sexual violence were being investigated.

We can now confirm that three cases out of five have been verified.

Testimonies from three survivors confirmed that they were raped by members of the Rapid Support militia..

The recommended medical and legal procedures were followed, including issuing of a medical examination form and an accompanying police report.

This brings the number of confirmed cases known to "Hadhreen" to Ten cases..

In addition to the two remaining cases, which are being verified, we received a report of two new sexual assault cases yesterday, (Sunday 14th of May) in the city of Khartoum and Khartoum North. We are in the process of getting these verified.. This is in addition to many probable other cases that are likely to go unreported for many reasons known to all.

As we indicated in the previous statement, without further pressure and condemnation leading to exposure of such barbaric violations and outright war crimes, the members of this unbridled militia will continue to commit similar atrocities.

Since the beginning of the fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Militia, it has been confirmed to “Hadhreen” from multiple sources that seven cases of sexual violence have occurred, all of which took place in areas under the control of the militia. Two of the victims confirmed that the group that raped is militia members, and an eyewitness also confirmed that the group that raped two of the other victims were wearing the same military uniforms as the militia members.

We are also currently verifying five other allegations, all of which are also from areas under the control of the Rapid Support Forces militia. We condemn such heinous practices that violate the dignity of women and cannot be ignored alongside other violations that are not surprising to be committed by members of the Rapid Support Forces. "Hadhreen" has previously documented similar violations in its report "The Cost of Transition" after the militia's invasion of Khartoum following the dispersal of the sit-in massacre in 2019.

We call on the international community to monitor these violations and work to stop them immediately through all means and channels, especially since some of the confirmed incidents occurred after the signing of what is known as the Jaddah Declaration "Commitment to Protect Civilians" between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces militia.

We sound the alarm that the continued perpetration of these heinous violations, which amount to war crimes according to international law, without any pressure from the international community and various components of Sudanese society on the leadership of the militia to control the actions of its members and hold perpetrators of sexual violence, looting, and theft accountable, will inevitably lead to a continuous increase in their occurrence.
