As a non-governmental organization, Hadhreen is dedicated to bridging the gap between communities and quality medical care. From the beginning, our health initiatives have focused on specialized, high-impact support that improves service delivery in public institutions and uplifts the medical workforce. Our mission is rooted in the belief that accessible, dignified healthcare should be available to all, especially those from underserved and low-income backgrounds.
We dedicated significant efforts toward localizing treatment inside Sudan, particularly in pediatric care, by supporting targeted improvements in public hospitals.
Focus Areas Included:
– Pediatric Heart Surgery: Improving access to life-saving interventions for children
– Respiratory Disease Treatment: Enhancing diagnostic and care capabilities for children with chronic conditions
– Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation: Supporting early mobility, recovery, and long-term wellness through therapeutic services These initiatives strengthened the healthcare ecosystem from within, empowering local hospitals to provide care that would otherwise be inaccessible or unaffordable.

Recognizing the vital role of intensive care, Hadhreen launched a focused initiative to support ICU operations in public hospitals. At the heart of this effort was a commitment to human resources, especially nurses who are essential to the continuity of care.
What We Provided:
– Financial Incentives for ICU Nurses: Monthly stipends were offered to stabilize the workforce and retain skilled nursing staff in critical care settings
– Operational Support for ICU Units: Ensuring these essential units remain functional and accessible to low-income families
Hospitals Reached:
– Soba University Hospital
– Ibrahim Malik Teaching Hospital
– Ahmed Gasim Hospital
By alleviating financial strain on nurses, this program helped safeguard the functionality of ICU units and ensured that critical services remained available to Sudanese families who depend on public hospitals.

Following the outbreak of war on April 15, 2023, it was agreed that all health program activities would be temporarily suspended. While these initiatives are currently on hold, our commitment to health equity remains steadfast.
Hadhreen stands ready to resume and expand these critical efforts once conditions allow, because we believe that every life is worth the care it needs.
