Since its inception in 2015, Hadhreen has served as a lifeline for communities in crisis. Through years of experience, strategic partnerships, and deep community trust, our Disaster and Crisis Mitigation Program has become a cornerstone of humanitarian response across Sudan.
Our Goal is Clear:

– To alleviate suffering
– Restore stability
– To foster resilience in the wake of disaster
We act not only with urgency, but with care, cultural understanding, and long-term vision.
The “You Are Not Alone” Campaign:
Following the war outbreak in April 2023, we launched the Campaign (“You Are Not Alone”) to prioritize displaced families, trapped civilians, and those seeking refuge inside and outside Sudan. This campaign operates in close partnership with:
– UN agencies
– International humanitarian organizations
– Local Sudanese initiatives
– Grassroots emergency rooms networks
“No One Left Hungry—Even in the Hardest Places”
In the chaos of conflict, central kitchens have become community lifelines, ensuring daily meals reach those who have lost access to food.
How It Works:
– Operates in neighborhoods across Sudan, regardless of controlling factions
– Funding sent via Bankak app directly to trusted kitchen committee leaders
– Local sourcing of food, boosting nearby economies
– Community-prepared and distributed meals ensuring fairness and accessibility
– Monitored by sector supervisors who report and document activity daily
“A Gift of Faith. A Feast of Solidarity.”
What began as a donor-driven request has become a powerful expression of compassion. Through this initiative, Hadhreen channels Eid al-Adha sacrifices to families who need it most.
Impact Highlights:
– Livestock purchased with donor contributions
– Distributed to vulnerable families who also share the meat with neighbors, reinforcing community spirit
– During the war, funds have been redirected to supply meat for central kitchens and temporary shelters
“Fighting Floods with Preparedness and Care”
Each year, Sudan faces devastation from seasonal floods. Hadhreen’s response focuses on health protection, safe water, and temporary shelter, providing both immediate and preventive relief.
“Sustaining Dignity and Support for Sudan’s Most Vulnerable”
In times of crisis, the needs of care home residents, orphaned children, and those in shelters often go overlooked. At Hadhreen, we ensure these voices are heard and their needs met through continuous support for public hospital kitchens, orphanages, and relocation efforts, delivering care, food, and hope when it’s needed most.
Public Hospital Kitchens:
To relieve the strain on Sudan’s healthcare system, Hadhreen is actively supplying essential food items to public hospital kitchens, ensuring daily meals reach:
– Medical staff
– Patients
– Patient companions and caregivers
Hospitals Supported:
– Omdurman Hospital
– Mohamed El-Amin Hamid Hospital
– Al-Nau Hospital
Our aim is to maintain these kitchens as reliable sources of nourishment for those working tirelessly and those receiving care, despite the country’s ongoing instability.
Dar Al-Maigoma Orphanage:
Located in a high-risk area, Dar Al-Maigoma has faced significant challenges receiving aid due to repeated outbreaks of violence. Despite these obstacles, Hadhreen remains present inside the facility, working hand-in-hand with the home’s administration and medical team ensuring a hygienic and safe environment, infant formula stock along with daily financial incentives for essential staff
Preparing Alternative Shelter Facilities:
As part of the “You Are Not Alone” campaign, Hadhreen’s field team in Shendi is facilitating the safe relocation of residents and staff from a vulnerable care home in Bahri.
Through coordinated efforts, timely incentives, and trusted local partnerships, Hadhreen continues to uphold its mission delivering food, care, and dignity to every vulnerable soul who depends on us.
Combat Disease:
– Spraying campaigns to control disease-carrying insects
– Training volunteers to safely use sprayers and insecticides
Water Access & Sanitation:
– Distribution of clean water barrels
– Provision of water purification tablets

Proven Field Experience:
Years of direct involvement have equipped our staff and volunteers with the ability to prioritize critical needs and implement smart, practical solutions under pressure.
Trusted Supplier Relationships:
Thanks to strong bonds with local suppliers, we can secure essential goods and services, delivering relief exactly when and where it’s needed.
Support from a Global Community:
Backed by the trust of civil society organizations, private sector allies, Sudanese diaspora, and international humanitarian agencies, we’re empowered to move rapidly and responsively during crises.
