The word "حاضرين" (Hadhreen), used in Sudan and many other Arabic-speaking regions, expresses the willingness to answer the call of duty or respond to a request for help.
Inspired by this phrase, which embodies both swift response and high readiness to fulfill what we believe is our duty toward our people and their humanity, we decided that our organization would carry this name.
Through partnerships, innovation, and transparency, we aim to create long-term positive impact across disaster response, education, health, and livelihoods.

Hadhreen was established in 2015 by Sudanese youth activists with a shared vision for building a better future. Initially driven by a grassroots approach, the organization evolved over time, responding to the needs of local communities.
By 2021, Hadhreen had formalized its efforts and was officially registered as an NGO in Sudan. In the midst of Sudan’s ongoing humanitarian crisis, characterized by conflict and the displacement of over 8.8 million people, Hadhreen has strived to reflect and build on the resilience and innovation of Sudanese communities across the country.
In September of the year 2022, Hadhreen Company Limited was born by guarantee as a non-profit company, to be the investment arm of Hadhreen Organization to implement projects with a tangible social impact in addition to a reasonable financial return directed primarily to support the organization’s activities within its programs (Health / Nutrition / Education / warding off the effects of Crises and Disasters / Watering and Support for Vulnerable Segments) and the continuous development of the organization to achieve its vision of being a national organization with international standards, and an estimated percentage will be allocated for training and capacity-raising / developing scientific research and graduation projects for university students.
